












Challenge: Design an environmentally-friendly product brochure and display case for three aluminum hanging systems for Brooklyn Hardware, LLC.
Results: Bamboo River developed this innovative product display and information system so customers have a better understanding of how to utilize the three products. Inside the self-mailer contains four pull-out pages located inside a pocket and three product samples.

Montavilla Sewing Center hired us in 1998 to design a newsletter to promote its new store after their landmark store was lost in a fire. At the first meeting, we asked questions to figure out what made Montavilla Sewing Centers unique from other stores that sold sewing machines and we found out a lot. That's why the first newsletter told their story in addition to introducing their sewing community so their customers could come in for all their sewing needs.
Over the next many years, the Klugs designed, wrote and produced newsletters that turned into a 32-page magazine by 2005. Then as the internet became more popular, they transitioned all the classes and events online and changed the newsletter into a smaller product guide. This example is of a successful product guide in 2011 that attracted thousands of customers in to see what was new and improved.
Challenge: Design an ad campaign and materials to introduce the lighter weight Panelclip(R) SE system to existing customers.
Results: The ad design introduces the innovative, new and improved Panelclip(R) SE system which reduces material and shipping weight. Bamboo River helped position the roll-out of this new product so it will complement Brooklyn Hardware's other products instead of competing with them.

Challenge: Create an identity that stands out and is memorable.
Results: Bamboo River helped select the name and develop the identity for this Equity Firm. The innovative design of the waves are embossed on the card and appear on the backside as well. The card is a very memorable leave-behind which allows them to stand out in the competitive marketplace.
Challenge: Redesign the Liepold identity and design a brochure that can help them establish themselves in a more competitive marketplace.
Results: The Liepold Farm identity design and brochure helped estabiish their presence as a family-owned, third-generation, local farm. By having a solid identity and marketing materials, they were able to promote their berries to restaurants and at local street markets. The promotions of their berries helped grow other markets as well like the Harvest Festival and local relations with grocery stores. Additionally they won a contract with Burgerville!
Challenge: Help create a memorable name and design an identity that allows this new practice to stand out from a highly competitive dental industry in the Portland area.
Results: The first impression of this name, logo and business card stays with you from the moment you see it. Dr. Hicks has received numerous complements and his practice continues to grow!
This commercial that redefines how you see a sewing machine won the 2010 Silver Telly Award Winner for "Create" TV commercial for Montavilla Sewing Centers. It was developed, directed and produced by Fer and Kirsten Klug of Bamboo River Marketing. Paul Sosso of Comcast and Fer Klug did the post-production. Kirsten and Fer wrote the custom music and Josh Millman produced the song.
